21 Day Fix creator Autumn Calabrese and her brother, chef Bobby Calabrese, have created a set of recipes that take into account our busy lifestyles. They know we all have a desire to cook healthy meals without having to take up residence in our kitchens like it was a part time job.

This culinary duo has artfully modified the usual Red Beans and Rice recipe so that it can be made in under 30 minutes and tastes like you had ordered it from a sidewalk cafe in the French Quarter. Their version of this Creole classic uses a base of fragrant veggies and a spice blend that could knock your socks off, that is only if you want it to. Smoked paprika and cayenne pepper give this dish that signature Creole flavor. If you are not partial to spicy food you can reduce the amount of cayenne in the recipe or omit it all together. With other aromatics like garlic and thyme included in the mix, you won’t compromise the flavor of this dish by reducing the amount of heat.
