Mother of Two Loses 32 Pounds in Four Months!

Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
My weight had been up and down since my daughter was born in December 2010. I have tried all the “fad” diets, drinks, counting calories, and I am ashamed to say…”weight loss” pills. Nothing ever seemed to work, or if it did, nothing stuck. I was depressed, never wanted to go out, and embarrassingly, I was still wearing maternity bottoms almost six months after having my son (May 2014) because nothing else fit.

What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
I was inspired by seeing others on my Facebook who had done the 21 Day Fix and other programs, and their results were amazing! I was also tired of being tired all the time, not having anything to wear, and feeling yucky all the time due to my eating habits.

What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
My greatest challenge was giving up a lot of foods that I enjoyed such as fast food, chips, ice cream, or anything really that’s considered “junk” food. I also had to become mentally ready to prepare myself and set time aside for 30 minutes a day, having two little ones.

What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
I consider the original 21 Day Fix program “my foundation” as it completely changed the way I looked at food and my portion sizes. It really opened my eyes to healthier and cleaner foods. INSANITY MAX:30 and 21 Day Fix EXTREME completely broke me down and showed me how to seriously push myself to the limit. Now I feel like I can take on any challenge. With PiYo, I found myself more flexible and stronger both inside and out.

Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
Not only did I lose weight and inches in each program, I found myself proud of completing each one as there were days I wanted to quit, give up, or just be plain lazy.

How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
My journey is one that is not only physical but emotional because of how it has changed me on the inside. I realized I am much stronger than I thought I was, and have learned that taking care of myself not only helps me, but it also helps my family.

How did participating in a Challenge Group help you reach your goals? How did your group support you and keep you accountable?
Being a part of a Challenge Group helped keep me motivated and accountable for my daily workouts and meals. Whenever I felt the struggle of eating bad, or not wanting to work out, the group was there to remind me what I started for.

How did your Team Beachbody Coach support you on your journey?
My Coach (who is now my best friend) supported me throughout each program. She checked in on me personally to see how I was doing. If I was struggling with anything, she was there.

I drink Shakeology daily and it helps curb my cravings and keeps me full longer, especially if I happen to miss a snack before my next meal.

I noticed that both Shakeology and a program really do go hand-in-hand! I have two kids and now have more energy/awareness to keep up with them!
