Meet Stephen S. He lost 30 lbs with P90X and then completed one round of P90X3. He entered his results into The Beachbody Challenge, and won the $500 Daily Prize for April 25th!
Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
I retired 18 months ago. I am now 55 years old. My son had me do P90X. I lost 30 pounds (207 to 177). I took the summer off, bought the P90X3 tapes, and just completed the 90 days. I have kept off my weight. Before starting P90X I had a bad foot, ankle, and knee. I now train and run 5-K races (best time under 26 minutes). I had never ran a race before in my life. P90X has been a great program for me and a great post retirement effort.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
I retired and I wanted to lose weight and get healthier. I also needed a challenge. My sons inspired me. One is on a hot-shot fire crew and the other is in the military. They both train and are in great shape
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody® help you overcome that challenge?
Getting started is the biggest challenge. When I first did P90X I was so out of shape. I did my best and forgot the rest. Once I got going, I did what I could. I am now repeating P90X3 and nailing it.
What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
Made you diversify. Yoga, Pilates, work all parts of the body. I now have running legs and run 5K races.
