Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
I used to be very active with kickboxing for fitness, 45-minute Tabata workouts, and TRX. However, several months before I started my first program, I had to stop physical activity due to a back issue. Before starting my journey, I felt like my eating was getting out of control and my fitness was non-existent.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
I didn’t like that I had put on so much weight in such a short time. I knew that if I didn’t do something about it and get it under control, I would become very overweight. I’m also going to be “Mother of the Groom” and wanted to look the best I could, and be the healthiest so that I can chase after my two grandsons.
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
My eating habits were definitely not the greatest. My “clutch” became chips and dip, which of course helped lead to the weight gain. Prior to the program, I was having great difficulty with my flexibility and trying to accomplish any exercise was impossible. Having the modifier throughout the various programs enabled me to switch over when I wasn’t able to do the regular exercises. Now, eight months later, my agility has greatly improved and my eating habits are well under control.
What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
My first program was 21 Day Fix. Then I progressed to 21 Day Fix EXTREME, CIZE, The Master’s Hammer and Chisel, and finally 22 Minute Hard Corps. As my fitness improved, I chose the next level program, ensuring that there was a modifier for each. Every program I chose used the same containers, providing portion control for eating. It got me on the right track and kept me on that track for clean, healthy eating.
Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
I am ecstatic about my results since September 13, 2015. Overall, I have lost 24 pounds and 30.5 inches. In 22 Minute Hard Corps, my main goal was to gain definition and muscle. From the start of 22 Minute Hard Corps, I not only lost where I wanted to but also gained in my arms (flexed) and calves.
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
My life has been absolutely the best! My husband and daughter are very proud of me and have supported this journey since day one. I feel better about myself, both physically and mentally, and I’m not afraid to wear certain clothes like I was before.
How did participating in a Challenge Group help you reach your goals? How did your group support you and keep you accountable?
It wasn’t so much a Challenge Group, but a group in which everyone could make comments in and receive support from the Coach. It’s an amazing group!
How did your Team Beachbody Coach support you on your journey?
Amanda was so quick to answer any questions I had and to offer encouragement and support throughout the whole way. I am absolutely thrilled she was and still is my Coach. Without her I don’t think my success would have been so great!
How did a Beachbody supplement, nutritional product, or program (such as Shakeology or Beachbody Ultimate Reset) support your transformation? What are the greatest benefits you gained? Did you see benefits to your energy, sleep, mood/mental clarity, or digestion/regularity?
By using Shakeology, I knew I was getting great benefits. I had one every day for breakfast. I truly believe Shakeology helped with my energy levels.
