Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
Before I started the program, I used to be active and fit. Years later after high school, I slowly started to gain weight while balancing a full-time job and being a full-time student in college. I gained a total of 50 pounds after high school by eating out constantly. I didn’t feel good about my body. I used to walk around campus with my head down, and I would take long ways to class to avoid a lot of people. Like I said, I used to be smaller, so gaining weight was very hard for me to deal with. I couldn’t fit any of my old clothes anymore, and I was always out of breath by walking to my class. Overall, I was embarrassed of myself and didn’t have confidence in my body.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
I hope this doesn’t come off conceited or vain, but I mainly inspired myself to change my lifestyle. But there were other factors that played a role too. I was tired of being angry at what I looked like and what I couldn’t wear. I used that negative energy as motivation to lose weight. Since I am young, at the time I wasn’t thinking about the health risks of being overweight. Instead, I was thinking about physical appearance as inspiration for losing weight.
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
The greatest challenge I faced before I started the program was that I didn’t how to eat clean and healthy for my body. 21 Day Fix helped me by telling me my calorie goal to lose weight, and the program provided containers to teach me how to eat a balanced meal. The eating plan was very simple and effective. After a month of using 21 Day Fix, I had a better understanding of what a healthy meal looked like.
What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
The best part about the 21 Day Fix program is the containers and the food list. Everything was so simple to follow and stick to.
Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
My results were amazing! I lost 45 pounds in five months and 10 inches off my waist. During this program, I was losing two pounds a week and almost 10 pounds a month. I am proud that I was consistent with the program, and I was able to lose all of that weight while being a full-time student.
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
My whole life has changed after completing 21 Day Fix. I no longer have an unhealthy relationship with food. I don’t use food as social entertainment anymore. I do more active things as entertainment. I am much happier and more confident in myself. I believe I can accomplish any goal now with hard work and consistency. The best part is I know how to eat healthy now, and I can pass that knowledge on to my loved ones.
