How Food Turns Into Energy (The Andy Dwyer Version)

Last night began the 7th, and (sadly) final, season of Parks and Recreation.

Admittedly, in the beginning, I wasn’t so sure about the show. It got off to a bit of a clumsy start, but I fell in love with it the moment Ron Swanson got hit in the face during season 2 with a sandwich. At least that’s how I remember it.

Over the years, Parks and Rec has had it’s share of strange food moments. From Chris Traeger’s luckless attempts to get Ron Swanson to eat vegetables to Andy exclaiming “Butter is my favorite food!” before jumping into a lake. Lydia magazine collected 10 of their favorite moments here in this article, but (other than Swanson getting sidelined by a sandwich), my favorite moment is this one where Andy explains how food turns into energy. Or at least, attempts to.

I’ll miss you, Ron Swanson.
