Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
Before I started 21 Day Fix, I always felt bloated and fat. I was always tired, basically falling asleep by 8 PM every night. I ate out for lunch 4 days out of the week, if not more. I would visit fast food restaurants, often going through drive-thrus. I would also eat out for dinner a few times a week. Every night, I would come home and have nighttime snacks such as a whole row of cookies and a huge glass of milk. I would go out of my way to go to the convenience store for pints of Ben and Jerry’s or candy bars.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
My wife got involved with Beachbody and became a Beachbody Coach. She had much success, and I decided I should give it a try. Also, my blood pressure was being monitored by my primary care physician, and I could not get a DOT card for my work without going on blood pressure meds. I was also being monitored for borderline high sugar levels. I did not want to continue on this path.
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody® help you overcome that challenge?
The biggest challenge before the program was admitting that I had a problem. My health was deteriorating, I was getting older, and I wasn’t feeling good. The program taught me how to eat healthy, the correct portions to eat, and has definitely changed my eating habits permanently. It really does only take 21 days to break bad habits and create new healthy ones.
Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
Lots of results. I have lost weight, I have lost inches, my clothes are comfortable, and I am comfortable in my own body. I have a higher self-esteem, people are complimenting me, and I feel great about myself. I am happy that I committed and tried the program. I never in my life thought that I would have changed my eating habits so drastically and actually have the will to continue to eat healthy after the 21 days! I did not go back to my bad eating habits after the 21 days, and never will!
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
I live a happier healthier life. I am able to stay up later and enjoy quality time with my family. I am not asleep by 7:30-8:00pm every night. I have more energy, I am more self-confident, and best of all, I am healthy! The program has saved my life, health, and brought my family closer together!
