A classic spinach dip contains lots of ingredients that are good for you; it’s the few ingredients that aren’t good for you that’ll throw your healthy eating plan off the rails.

We created a healthier version of the classic spinach dip, with only 32 calories per serving.

Eat this savory spinach dip with raw veggies like carrots, celery sticks, radishes, or sliced bell peppers.

For a spicy kick, sprinkle with red pepper flakes before serving. If you’re a fan of spinach artichoke dip, add a can of all-natural artichoke hearts to the mix. (*This will alter the nutritional info for the dish a bit.)

Ingredients

  • 10 oz. raw baby spinach (approx. 6 cups), steamed until wilted
  • cups reduced-fat (2%) plain Greek yogurt, drained
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • Sea salt (or Himalayan salt) and ground black pepper (to taste; optional)

Instructions

  1. Place spinach in colander; drain of all excess water.

  2. Finely chop spinach; place in a medium bowl.

  3. Add yogurt, garlic, green onions, and lemon juice; mix well.

  4. Season with salt and pepper (if desired).

  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
